Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation has recently announced the official launch of its new China-Singapore-Malaysia (CSM) route on April 3, 2026, aiming to further strengthen its intra-Asia service network, enhance direct shipping efficiency between South China and major Southeast Asian ports, and expand regional coverage capacity[3]. This strategic move aligns with the growing demand for regional trade and the continuous upgrading of Southeast Asia’s manufacturing industry, marking Yang Ming’s deeper commitment to the dynamic Southeast Asian market.
The CSM route will be operated by three 2,800 TEU-class container ships from Yang Ming Marine, offering fixed weekly sailings with a 21-day round-trip voyage. These vessels, similar to Yang Ming’s existing 2800 TEU fleet, feature energy-saving designs, desulfurization towers, and smart ship certifications, ensuring environmental compliance and cost efficiency while maintaining reliable operation. The port rotation of the CSM route forms a closed-loop channel connecting three key regions: South China, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia, with the following sequence: Xiamen → Kaohsiung → Shekou → Singapore → Port Klang → Xiamen.
