WAN HAI LINES LATIN AMERICA SERVICE

Wan Hai Lines was established in Taiwan in February 1965 with a capital of 22 billion NTD. Since 1997, it has been authorized by the Ministry of Transportation and Communications to operate international container shipping business and cross-strait container shipping business. Wan Hai Lines have launched service route for "Europe", "Middle East", "Japan", "Southeast Asia" "North America", "Red Sea", "Black Sea”, and "Cross-Strait" via various coastal ports. We are also authorized to set up representative offices in more than 20 coastal port cities and regions such as Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xiamen, Fuzhou, Shenzhen, Qingdao, Dalian and Tianjin. Wanhai has been committed to the development of cross-strait economic, trade and shipping business, and strives to contribute to the reform and opening up and economic development of the mainland. As of 2014, the company currently operates 91 container vessels (owned + chartered) with a total capacity of 215,473 teus and over 4,000 employees worldwide.

ASA1:

Features.

1.WHL sailing schedule is stable, with a high rate of accurate class, weekly three cut-off five; WHL four basic ports direct shipping, shorter voyage.

2. Departure ports throughout Hong Kong, South China and East China, comprehensive service network, more selective.

3. The only one direct flight to ENSENADA in South China, the voyage only takes 21 days, few direct routes in the market, higher timeliness, CMA, EMC, MSC are transit ships.

4. Good cabinet condition, there are enough cabinets to supply in peak season.

 

Differences.

1. Take ENSENADA as an example, the direct flight voyage is about 21 days; MSC Busan transit voyage is 30 days; CMA Busan transit voyage is about 33 days; EMC has no service at the moment; it can completely win over the market giants and become the first direct flight provider at this point.

2. The container condition can be supplied in the peak season, and the container control situation will not be as strict as CMA.

3. Focus on South America West direct shipping service, to provide customers with more stable and intensive sailing service.

4. Concentrated capacity, each ship needs 70 days to complete a round trip, and will assign 10 2200teu container ships to AS1.

Features.

1.WHL ASA and EMC WSA2 share the same cabin, every Saturday cut off one open.

2.ASA to GUAYAQUIL & PUERTO QUETZAL, the only Shenzhen export direct berth service in the market, fast shipping schedule.

3. Good container condition, there is enough container supply in peak season.

 

Differences.

1. Cover almost all Mexico / Central America / South America west inland countries and regions

2. We can supply enough containers in peak season, and the container control situation will not be as strict as CMA.

3. Focus on direct service to South America West, providing customers with more stable and intensive sailing service.

1.WHL WSA and EMC common class, Evergreen is the main, Wanhai interchange space, weekly seven cut off two open.

3. It can be used as an effective replacement for EMC, and can be matched with Wanhai in time when there is a shortage of containers in peak season.

4. SAN ANTONIO direct shipping.

Introduction to the major ports in Latin America 

Mexico

1. Mexico City, the largest market in the country, with a population of 20 million, the capital and the national stock exchange is located.

2. Guadalajara, the second largest city, population over 0.4 million, Mexico's Silicon Valley, with a well-developed electronics industry and retail industry, PLAZA GALERIAS is one of the largest shopping centers in Latin America

3. Monterry, with a population of 0.36 million, the second highest per capita income, modern industry and commerce, and close to the U.S.-Mexico border.

ENSENADA-MXESE, one of the main ports in the north of Mexico, exports mainly cotton, fruits and fish products, and imports mainly electronic products and modern industrial equipment. 

MANZANILLO-MXZLO, located on the southwest coast of the Mexican state of Colima, is the largest port on the Pacific coast of Mexico; the main import and export products are: grain, groceries, oil, molasses and minerals.

 

Chile

Southern ports: LIRQUEN, PUNTA ARENAS, BIO-BIO (CONCEPCION)

Northern ports: SAN ANTONIO, VALPARAISO, IQUIQUE, ANTOFAGASTA.

ARICA is a port leased to Bolivia from Chile.

IQUIQUE, PUNTA ARENAS is the North-South Free Trade Zone.

Santiago, 40% of the country's population, San Antonio/Valparaiso located in Central of Chile, 1.5-2 hours to Santiago, commercial and economic industrial center

 

Colombia

Colombia has a diversified economy with macroeconomic stability and good growth prospects in the long term. Colombia is a medium power with the fourth largest economy in Latin America and is one of the six countries of the Lingcats, as well as an emerging market in the world.

Southern port: BUENAVENTURA

Northern port: Cartagena, the historic city of Cartagena. It was the third largest city in Latin America at the beginning of the 17th century, but has since declined.

BARRANQUILLA: The fourth largest city in Colombia, a tourist center and an important industrial center in the country, with major industries such as electronics, paper, textiles and food.

BUENAVENTURA-COBUN, the largest port in Colombia and the main city on the Pacific coast, exports coffee, sugar, cotton, minerals, etc.; the main imports are electromechanical products, textiles, base metals and chemicals, etc.


Guatemala

PUERTO QUETZAL:

Located on the southern coast of Guatemala, bordering the western side of the Pacific Ocean, this is Guatemala's new port on the Pacific coast, and the port is about 8km from the airport.  

Loading and unloading efficiency: 60 tons per hour for steel products, 20 tons per hour for loading and 8 containers per hour. The terminal is reliable for ships of up to 30,000 dwt. The main export goods are bananas, coffee, cotton, sugar and meat, while the main import goods are machinery, consumer goods and building materials.

 

Peru

CALLAO:

CALLAO is a commercial port in Peru on the west coast of South America. Located in the middle of the country's coast, the outskirts of the city of Lima. It is the most modern port on both sides of the South American coast, with 3/4 of Peru's imports and 1/4 of its exports passing through the port, with an annual throughput of about 5 million tons.

 

Ecuador

GUAYAQUIL:

Guayaquil is the largest city in Ecuador and the main port on the Pacific coast, located on the right bank of Guayas River in Guayaquil Bay in the southwest of the country, which is called "the coastal pearl of the Pacific Ocean". Guayaquil Port is the largest seaport in Ecuador. It faces the Pacific Ocean and backs up to the Santa Ana Mountains. The port has the most railroad access to the capital, and a highway connects Quito with other cities in the country. Bananas, cocoa, coffee, cotton and other products from all over the country are gathered and distributed here.
