Wan Hai Lines is continuously enhancing its trans-Pacific route layout. In response to the growing transportation demand in the Asia-North America West Coast market, and to improve the coverage depth and flexibility of its service network, the company officially announced recently that it will cooperate with Ocean Network Express (ONE) in May 2026, investing capacity together to launch the second direct route to Los Angeles, USA — the AP2 Route.
This route is designed as a weekly service, with the planned port calling sequence: Qingdao – Ningbo – Los Angeles – Oakland – Qingdao. This layout directly connects the core foreign trade ports in East China and North China with the two key hub ports of Los Angeles and Oakland on the US West Coast.
Based on Wan Hai's existing route network, the launch of the AP2 Route will significantly optimize the maritime passage from North China and East China to the major markets on the US West Coast. It provides customers with a direct shipping option with shorter voyage and more stable schedule, effectively improving the timeliness and reliability of the overall supply chain.
With the addition of the AP2 Route, Wan Hai Lines will further increase the service frequency of its Asia-North America West Coast routes, forming a more dense route network. This can not only better meet the diversified logistics needs of customers for different departure ports and different delivery dates, but also reflects the company's strategic intention to actively adapt to market changes and optimize service products.
