Wan Hai Launches New Service Connecting China

Wan Hai Shipping will launch a new weekly service CI7 between South China, Vietnam and East India, aiming to strengthen the network coverage between the Far East and East India and provide customers with faster service.

 

It is understood that four 1200TEU container ships have been invested in the route, exclusively operated by Wan Hai, and the maiden voyage from Haiphong Port is planned to be on March 27.

 

The port sequence of the CI7 route is as follows: 

Haiphong - Zhanjiang - Nansha - Gillai - Port Klang North Port - Chennai - Vizag - Port Klang North Port - Haiphong


 

In addition to the launches new routes, Wan Hai also announced the latest ship purchase plan a few days ago.

 

According to the announcement, Wan Hai Lines Singapore Pte Ltd is expected to purchase the newbuildings for a total price of not more than US$700 million. At the same time, Wan Hai Lines Ltd and Wan Hai Lines Singapore Pte Ltd will purchase several second-hand ships for a total price of not more than US$320 million.

 

Data shows that since 2020, Wanhai has purchased 20 second-hand ships with a capacity of 86,000TEU, of which 13 have been delivered and the remaining 7 will be delivered in the third quarter of this year.
