Mediterranean Shipping (MSC) said a few days ago that the company has further upgraded its Chinook service in the northwest of the United States, and it only takes 11 days from Qingdao to Seattle.

The service also provides connections from the Seattle Railroad to inland locations such as Chicago, Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Detroit, and Louisville.

MSC said: "The upgraded route will provide a faster and more convenient transportation experience for export goods from northern China to the Northwest United States and the Great Lakes region."

According to reports, the ships served by Chinook call at Pier 5 in the Port of Seattle, which is operated by Eagle Marine Services. The pier covers an area of 133.5 hectares and has 3 berths with a total length of 884 meters and a water depth of 14-15 meters. The pier has 600 refrigerated plugs.

At the same time, Pier 5 of the Port of Seattle is equipped with automatic identification equipment and a global positioning system. Through a comprehensive real-time terminal information operation management system, the terminal and railway operations can be effectively managed, and convenient and fast multimodal transport services can be realized.
