MSC Revamps Intra-Asia Network

On October 20, the world's largest liner company, Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), announced that it will continue to expand and strengthen the coverage of its regional network in Asia, launch new services, and upgrade existing services. These adjustments will take effect before November 2022.



MSC said the service realignment strengthens its regional network in Asia, providing direct connectivity and comprehensive port coverage between Northeast Asia and Southeast Asia, improving transport efficiency.


The adjusted new services are as follows:


1. Launch Dolphin Service

    

Direct flights between Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and China.


The departure port is Shanghai, the maiden voyage is "MSC CAPE III", and the arrival date is November 2.



2. Upgrade New Origami service


Routes from Japan, Korea to Vietnam, and from the Philippines and Taiwan to Korea and Japan.


The departure port is Tokyo, the maiden voyage is "MSC AMEERA III", and the arrival date is October 30.



3. Upgrade Seahorse service


Improved shipping efficiency from Mainland China and Taiwan to Malaysia and Singapore.

The departure port is Shanghai, the maiden voyage is "MSC COLETTE III", and the arrival date is November 4th.






4. Adjust Seagull Service


Newly added the port of call in Xiamen, China, and adjusted the port of call in Malaysia.

The departure port is Shanghai, the maiden voyage is "XIN BIN ZHOU", and the arrival date is November 1.




5. Adjust the Orchid service


The departure port is Fuzhou, the maiden voyage is "MSC KERRY", and the arrival date is November 3.


 


6. Upgrade Bengal service


Added ports of call in China and South Korea.


The departure port is Qingdao, the maiden voyage is "MSC EMILY II", and the arrival date is October 12.


 


7. Launch Pertiwi service


Connect northern China, South Korea and Southeast Asia.
