MSC has been committed to seamlessly extending the port function to the hinterland, and in the Yangtze River Delta region, to create a faster and more efficient sea-rail combined export channel for foreign trade enterprises.

A few days ago, the first Nanjing-Shanghai port sea-rail train of Mediterranean Shipping (MSC) left the station with a full load of export goods, transited through Shanghai port, and traveled to all over the world.

MSC said that it has been committed to seamlessly extending the port function to the hinterland, and in the Yangtze River Delta region, to create a faster and more efficient sea-rail combined export channel for foreign trade enterprises.

At the same time, in terms of green environmental protection, this move can help save carbon and reduce emissions, and realize the long-term sustainable development of MSC.

According to reports, since May this year, MSC has successively launched sea-rail combined transportation services in Jiangsu, Anhui and other places to provide stable, fast, efficient and low-cost transit services for local and surrounding export customers.

At present, MSC has opened daily trains or next-day trains in 9 cities including Nanjing, Changzhou, Suzhou, Danyang, Xuzhou, Hai'an, Hefei, Bengbu and Chuzhou, which has greatly shortened the transit time from these areas to Shanghai Port. To better serve the rapid development of regional foreign trade.

MSC said that in the future, it will continue to develop and launch more efficient multimodal transport products to provide customers with better transport services.
