MSC Adds DaChan Bay Call in Seagull Service

On May 18, with the "AMALTHEA" berthing at the Da Chan Bay Terminal, the weekly Asian route operated by Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), Seagull service, began to officially call at the western part of Shenzhen after the upgrade.


In order to better cope with the growth of the market in South China, MSC has made Dachan Bay Terminal the only port of call in South China for this route. So far, the route has fully covered both North China and South China. The upgraded Seagull service is directly connected to more ports in China, and provides exporters in southern China with fast transit times to Vietnam, Thailand and other Asian countries, helping customers to seize the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement that came into effect at the beginning of this year (RCEP).


Mr. Yang Zicong, Managing Director of Dachan Bay Terminal, said: "This is the third international liner route opened by MSC at Dachan Bay Terminal. This time, MSC deployed five container ships to operate the route. The route calls at Da Chan Bay Terminal every Monday, and the port of call is: Shanghai – Ningbo – Da Chan Bay – Vung Tau – Laem Chabang – Singapore – Tanjung Pelepas Port – Penang – Klang Port – Singapore – Tanjung Pak Le Bass Port – Qinzhou – Hong Kong – Shanghai.
