MSC Would Like to Inform That Misdeclartion Fee as From 1 April 2022 to USD 3500/Container.

On 8 March, MSC published an announcement on its website that it will increase the export Misdeclaration Fee (CMD) to USD 3500 per container for all shipments from Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam to all destinations with effect from 1 April 2022.


This Misdeclaration Fee applies to the following cases:

· Any change in the Named Account after the MSC booking has been confirmed, resulting in a lower freight rate than the original rate.
· Any abuse of the contract (including cases where the name, port, and/or customer information differs from the original contract).
