Exporters exporting to Egypt by sea are required to register with CargoX in advance. After registration, the exporter must be verified and the exporter must pay $15 for this.

Once the delivery is scheduled, the importer must enter the data in Nafeza using a pro forma invoice. The system then generates an ACID number within 48 hours. Both CargoX and Nafeza can obtain this number through the communication channel between them.

All documents such as invoices, certificates of origin and shipping documents (B/L) must contain an ACID number. Deliveries with shipping documents without an ACID number will be rejected. Therefore, it is important to notify the freight forwarder and give them a number so they can note it on the shipping documents.

Exporters must upload shipping documents via CargoX at least 48 hours prior to the ship's arrival. Uploaded documents should make sure to include an ACID number. There is a fee for uploading files.
