As the Year of the Horse Chinese New Year 2026 approaches, Evergreen Marine and Ocean Network Express (ONE) have taken the lead in issuing notifications on free detention periods for export shipments, facilitating foreign trade cargo dispatch during the holiday season.

Evergreen Marine has announced the waiver of "export loaded container usage fees" from February 17 to March 3, 2026 (excluding terminal miscellaneous charges such as power supply and storage fees). To meet the demand for advance collection of empty export containers, the company has also allocated and reserved a safe stock of empty containers across China.

ONE will exempt specified export container type fees for the Central China, North China and Fujian regions from February 15 to 28, 2026.

The applicable containers include online and offline standard containers and refrigerated containers (20GP/40GP/40HC/45HC/20RF/40RH). The original free detention policy will remain in effect after this special exemption period.
