Xiamen Port Launches New SENTOSA Service Linking U.S. West Coast & Mediterranean

On August 9, the Liberia-flagged vessel MSC ORSOLA made its maiden call at Xiamen Port, marking the official launch of the new SENTOSA route connecting China, the U.S. West Coast, and the Mediterranean.

Key Highlights:

8 mega-vessels (14,000–15,000 TEU) deployed, calling at:
Port Klang → Singapore → Laem Chabang → Vung Tau → Yantian → Xiamen → Long Beach → Oakland.

Diverse cargo mix: Cross-border e-commerce goods, high-tech products, automobiles & parts, chemicals, textiles.

Efficient clearance: Dongdu Immigration Inspection Station implemented "single-window" digital processing and pre-arrival inspections, ensuring:
