Recently, the container ship "HAIAN VIEW" slowly departed from Beibu Gulf Port, carrying a batch of construction machinery and other goods produced in Liuzhou, bound for Vietnam and Singapore. This move marks the official launch of the new RCEP route "Beibu Gulf Port - Vietnam - Singapore".

According to reports, this route is operated by Ocean Network Express (ONE), with a port rotation of: Qinzhou Port - Haiphong Port - Cai Mep Port - Singapore - Qinzhou Port, and operates on a weekly basis. The main export goods of the route include white cardboard, auto parts, glass, plywood, etc., while the imported goods include zinc oxide, frozen seafood, rapeseed meal, etc.

As a key part of Beibu Gulf Port’s efforts to densify its international route network, this new route enables efficient connectivity with Haiphong Port and Cai Mep Port in Vietnam. Meanwhile, relying on Beibu Gulf Port’s sea-rail intermodal transportation system, goods from the inland areas of western China can be quickly collected at Qinzhou Port, and then directly transported to Singapore Port via this route for transshipment, further radiating to target markets such as India, Europe and the United States. This significantly improves cross-border logistics efficiency, reduces the comprehensive costs of enterprises, and builds a convenient and stable "maritime expressway" for regional foreign trade enterprises.

With the support of facilitation policies such as the "Liuzhou - Beibu Gulf Port" scheduled train service of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor and the "advance declaration + direct loading upon arrival" measure, the sea-rail intermodal transportation mode can reduce carbon emissions by approximately 30% and improve customs clearance efficiency by 10%-20% compared with traditional road transportation, realizing "arrival, loading and departure immediately" for goods. The close connection between the New Corridor trains and the new route can provide more sufficient cargo support for the routes between Beibu Gulf Port and ASEAN countries.

Guangxi Beibu Gulf International Port Group stated that in the next step, it will continue to deepen strategic cooperation with shipping companies, continuously optimize route layout and service quality, improve comprehensive logistics systems such as sea-rail intermodal transportation and international transshipment, accelerate the in-depth integration of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor with ASEAN industrial and supply chains, and make every effort to build an efficient and convenient international logistics corridor.
